The Turning | A Winter Renewal Retreat MacArthur Place, Sonoma CA
A Winter Ritual WellAway Retreat and Andrea Bogart Yoga
Sunday January 10th (Early Arrival option Saturday January 9th)
New Year is a powerful time for ceremony — a chance to pause, reflect, and harvest the wisdom of the year behind before stepping into the one ahead.
Sunday, January 10th 2027 (Early Arrival option Saturday January 9th)
Start your new year with meaningful intention, ritual, and community.
The day unfolds against MacArthur Place's cozy boutique hotel backdrop, with winter seasonal meals by Layla Restaurant.
This is The Turning, a WellAway retreat for women ready to pause before they plan. No forced resolutions or goal-setting here, just a meaningful pause to take inventory of where you've been and set intention for where you're headed.
We'll hear from author, sociologist, and ceremonialist Shari Boyer on her book The Book of Modern Ceremony: Practices to Mark Life's Big and Small Moments. From there, we'll move into a new year ceremony, yoga, deep stretching, fireside, and journaling. A nourishing lunch and fresh juice infusions will keep us grounded through the day, and we'll close with winter inspired home and body care goodie bags by Koala Eco and True Botanicals.
Want to linger a little longer? Book a discounted room and arrive the evening before for gentle yoga, a chef curated dinner, and a fireside cacao circle to settle in before the retreat begins.
This season we're grateful to partner with True Botanicals and Koala Eco, who are providing thoughtful, nature-infused self-care products for body and home during the winter. Guests will leave with a curated collection of clean, sustainably crafted goods to carry the retreat's spirit of ritual and deep self-care into their everyday routines.

Retreat Partner Spotlight
Guest Speaker, Shari Boyer: Ceremony for Gathering the Harvest of the Year
We begin by creating space to pause, reflect, and harvest the wisdom of the year behind us. From that place of clarity, we will set meaningful intentions for the year ahead—not through resolutions, but through an honest exploration of where you are, where you most want to grow, and the habits, practices, and relationships that will help you get there.
You will leave with renewed purpose and a clear path into the new year.
